Soft Work was founded by John Morgan a retired direct service provider in the field of Social Work. In 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic John lost his mother to pancreatic cancer on her birthday and 4 months later his wife gave birth to their first child. Navigating the polarities of grief, fatherhood, career transitions, and day to day life left John feeling isolated, frustrated and the need for community. He found it through practicing tools of vulnerability, safe spaces of therapy, & sharing his story with other men who also shared similar experiences. From this, “Soft Work” was birthed & became the vehicle and platform to provide the safe space to help other men do the hardest work they can possibly do, which is living a more vulnerable life.
