Soft Work was founded by John Morgan a retired direct service provider in the field of Social Work. In February of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic Johns wife gave birth to their first child. Four months later he lost his mother to pancreatic cancer on her birthday. Navigating the polarities of grief, fatherhood, career transitions, and day to day life, John felt isolated, frustrated and in need of community. This was found through practicing tools of vulnerability, therapy, & sharing his story with men who shared similar experiences. From this, “Soft Work” was birthed & became the vehicle and platform to provide the space to help other men do the hardest work they can possibly do; live a more vulnerable life.
